Bracebridge Soccer Re-Focusing on
House League Programs

After completing an ambitious multi-year project building high quality soccer facilities in the community, the Bracebridge soccer club is now turning its focus on re-building the youth house league program. The aim is to re-invigorate the house league program with a renewed emphasis on strengthening the organization of soccer activities, and the quality of coaching that is provided for young players.

The soccer club wants to recruit a strong team of volunteers to help organize the grass roots program at each age level. The club will provide the training for adults and secondary school students who want to get involved as coaches, and provide the materials needed to deliver good recreational soccer training.

House League Programs

The regular House League program includes Divisions starting at Under 5 and goes up to Under 12, covering players born between 2004 and 1996.

Most of the House League programs will be run at the BPS/BML Lower Fields, (the old BMLSS fields) just off Wellington Street. The Under 5 Division will play at Monck Public School.

This will ensure there is with good access and all the fields are close together. The fields themselves will be in great shape without spring high school activities tearing up the grounds, and there will be better storage capacity for equipment.

Key Dates for 2008 House League Season

Regular House League:
will run weeknights starting Monday, May 5th to Thursday, July 3rd. All Divisions play one night a week, including Holiday Mondays – BPS/BML Lower Fields & Monck P.S.

Coaches are expected to arrive at House League sessions 10 minutes before scheduled start times. All House League sessions will start at 6:30pm and run for an hour, and will take place at Monck Field for Under 5 Division, and BPS/BML Lower Fields for all other Divisions.

House League Soccer Festival (Year-end BBQ)
Saturday, June 21^st – BML Lower Fields.
